Pediatric Boards

The ABP Pediatric Board Exam is offered once a year and can be taken after you have graduated residency. Logistics about when to sign up for Boards are under "Senior Year Checklist". Resources for preparing for the boards are located below.

BCRP Guide to Board Preparation

Chiefs of years past have compiled a large collection of information about the boards for all BCRP residents! This document includes the structure of the exam, in-training examination guidance, tips on how to use some of the below study guides, and sample study schedules. Feel free to download, share, and use as it helps!

Board Review Power Point

Recent BCRP grad, Eli Sprecher, made this power point a few years ago (2014). It is one slide per condition, and a nice overview. Caveat: there may be things in it that are now out of date, but the majority of the syndromes, etc. still have the same diagnostic criteria. Use with that in mind!

AAP Prep Questions

AAP prep questions are a helpful study tool. In addition to your daily email, they can be found on the AAP Pedialink website. Three years' worth of questions remain available at a time, so we recommend starting with the oldest set if you begin doing questions before the year you take boards.

Dosed Daily

DosedDaily is a free service created by a pedi hospitalist. It delivers an evidence-based pediatrics question directly to your e-mail inbox once a day. You click on your answer choice, and a detailed explanation of the correct answer comes up, along with a link to the abstract of the cited article so you can read as much as you’d like.
