Planning a Global Health Rotation
All BCRP Residents - Begin at least 90 Days ahead of your travel time
Identify both an in-country and a BMC/BCH based mentor for your travel.
Email Mary Mottla (Mary.Mottla@childrens.harvard.edu), Geoff Guenther (Geoffrey.Guenther@childrens.harvard.edu), Jess Angerman (jessica.angerman@childrens.harvard.edu), and the chiefs (pedichiefoncall-dl@childrens.harvard.edu) to let them know of your interest in an away/global health rotation.
Complete Application to GH Faculty by completing document found at THIS LINK.
Once approved, email chief residents and Jess Angerman with confirmation to discuss clinic and cross cover scheduling.
If needed, apply for funding.
Complete appropriate paperwork based on your employer:
BMC Employed: complete the BMC GME GH Elective Process on New Innovations (contact Rachael Charles: Rachael.Charles@bmc.org if questions).
BCH Employed: complete the BCH International Travel Review form.
Check vaccine requirements at your destination and book an appointment with a travel clinic beforehand.

Register for TravelSafe
Travel is the designated emergency coordinator for all BCH travel-related needs. Please see information on how to register and services provided here.
Upon return, if you received funding, complete the Global Health summary with photos (taken with consent.
